The Formula 1 grid is fuming as tensions between drivers and the FIA reach a boiling point over what many are calling inconsistent and unfair penalty decisions. The backlash has also spilled over to fans, who are taking to social media to share their displeasure. Many are calling for an overhaul of the stewarding system, suggesting the introduction of permanent stewards rather than rotating panels to ensure consistent rulings across all races.
The FIA, however, has defended its actions, with a spokesperson stating: “Our decisions are based on the regulations, and while not everyone will agree, our priority is fairness and safety.”
