Phil Mickelson has weighed in on the Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden golf debate that took place on Thursday night.
Trump and Biden sparred over their respective golf games on Thursday evening. Trump believes he’s the greatest golfer in U.S. presidential history, while Biden thinks he could take his campaign opponent.
Mickelson thinks it got very personal on Thursday evening.
“After watching the debate last night, I feel it never got personal until they started talking golf handicaps and who hits the longest drives. As a golfer, I get it. đđ,” he said.
He’s not wrong about that.
Trump had praised himself for winning multiple club championships during the debate.
“To do that, you have to be quite smart, and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way, and I do it,” he said. “[Biden] doesnât do it. He canât hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match â he canât hit a ball 50 yards.”
Biden, meanwhile, claims to be a six handicap.
Perhaps we can get a Trump vs. Biden golf match, maybe with Mickelson and Tiger Woods playing alongside them, at some point.
