Lauralee Bell reveals Y&R fans will help shape Cricket and Danny’s big day by voting on her wedding gown.

The Young and the Restless fans have something special to look forward to as Christine “Cricket” Blair and Danny Romalotti prepare to remarry this November. Lauralee Bell, who has played Cricket since 1984, revealed that the audience will have a direct hand in the ceremony by voting on which gown Cricket wears down the aisle.
Fans Get to Pick Cricket’s Wedding Dress
Bell told Us Weekly that giving fans a choice felt like the perfect way to honor their decades of support. “These people have devoted so much of their lives to our show,” Bell explained. “Whenever there’s a way where we can incorporate them or make them understand how much they mean to us, we can’t do this without them.”
The official poll launches on Friday, September 19, at 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET on Y&R’s Instagram Stories and on Bell’s Instagram. Voting will remain open for 24 hours, and each fan can only cast one vote.
Lauralee Bell Describes Cricket’s Dress Options
Bell has already tried on the three dresses in the running. She described them as “simple and elegant” and perfectly suited to Cricket’s stage in life. “I’m not the big ball down on top of a wedding cake,” she said, noting that none of the gowns are revealing. One of the dresses is more form-fitting, prompting Bell to joke about extra sit-ups and skipping cheese until after the big day.
Though Bell admits the crew began weighing in with favorites during fittings, she stressed that she doesn’t have a preference. “I want this to completely be what [the fans pick],” she said.
Cricket and Danny’s Love Story Comes Full Circle
Cricket and Danny (Michael Damian) first tied the knot in 1990 in Hawaii, but their marriage ended after Danny’s affair with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Decades later, the couple has reunited, and Danny proposed in July. Their upcoming wedding gives fans not only a long-awaited reunion but also the chance to say, “I picked that dress.”
