Celebrities in their masses have stepped out in daring outfits that see them don skimpy underwear as outerwear as part of a very racy new trend which is set to take off globally

There’s a new very racy trend that sees the likes of Bella Hadid, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber and Emma Corrin ditch their trousers and wear underwear as outerwear.

With models at various runways during the various Fashion Weeks around the globe sporting teeny tiny micro shorts and androgynous ensembles, it was only a matter of time before the trend would get embraced by celebrities.

Starting to emerge over the last couple of years and not going away, it seems like this trend is going nowhere.

Back in September 2022, Bella Hadid stepped out in New York while donning some micro shorts that resembled tighty-whitey underpants.

Wearing a simple t-shirt, black leather-look biker jacket, white socks and Ugg boots, Bella looked incredibly chic with a very racy edge.

She wore her hair slicked back with an Alice band, carried a tote back and accessorised with black sunglasses.

The tiny boxer-style shorts looked off-duty and laidback – leaving Bella looking a far cry to how we know of her stomping down various runways.

With her endless pins on display, the brunette beauty sizzled as she rocked the androgynous look.

Another celebrity embracing underwear as outerwear is The Crown star Emma Corrin.

Emma, who uses they/them pronouns, looked sensational for the My Policeman premiere, also in September 2022.

Wearing a black bodysuit which was very high-cut, Emma styled the look with sheer black tights and some black heels, complete with a train hanging from the bodysuit that sailed down to the ground.

Last March Rihanna embraced the trend also, with the Umbrella singer displaying her blossoming 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 bump under a very sheer negligee-style frock.

Because the garment was so incredibly sheer and transparent, Rihanna’s underwear was on full display.

Wearing a black balcony bra with ornate detailing and matching briefs, Rihanna’s underwear may as well have been outwear thanks to how sheer the garment she wore over the top was.

And at the start of the year, Justin Bieber’s missus Hailey stepped out rocking the underwear as outerwear trend.

Showing off her endless legs, the brunette beauty donned some ultra-short micro shorts.

Looking off-duty and effortlessly chic, Hailey donned some sunglasses while showing off her legs in the teeny tiny leather shorts.

Styling the look with a black top, black oversized biker jacket, some white socks and some black loafers, she also wore some sheer tights to ward off the chill.
