Cardi B “Ate Bitches Out Before You Was Born,” Thank You Very Much

Cardi B is known for her incredible WAP game, but she also has some great SAT — Savage Ass Tweets.

On Monday afternoon, the Grammy-winning rapper replied to a tweet from an Ariana Grande stan account that had the caption, “Celebrities that came out as bi𝓈ℯ𝓍ual but never dated someone of the same gender.” Alongside a photo of Cardi B, the tweet had pictures of Harry Styles (who has never labelled his 𝓈ℯ𝓍uality), music superstar Lady Gaga, and singer Billie Eilish. In follow-up tweets, the account listed “actual bi𝓈ℯ𝓍ual icons,” including Kristen Stewart and Miley Cyrus.

In response to the tweet, which was built on the false premise that bi𝓈ℯ𝓍ual people owe others easily-readable bi𝓈ℯ𝓍uality, the rap superstar replied in a quote tweet: “I ate bitches out before you was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 …..Sorry I don’t have razr phone pics to prove it to you,” along with a scream laughing emoji.

Cardi B’s bi𝓈ℯ𝓍uality has been policed many times before and based on this response, it’s clear this isn’t her first time at the defending bi𝓈ℯ𝓍uality rodeo. In 2021, the rapper had to respond to allegations of “queerbaiting” for appearing in sapphic positions with singer Normani for the latter’s song “Wild Side.” At the time, then-Jezebel staff writer Ashley Reese famously responded to the allegation by saying, “I love how queerbaiting has devolved into ‘women touching on camera.’”

When Rolling Stone published an article and a subsequent tweet referencing both Cardi and the incident, the rapper also made good use of the quote tweet.

“Uuummmm @RollingStone queer baiting?,” Cardi B wrote. “You do know we was trying to hide a whole 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 bump right ?Also I’m married to a man but I have express soo much about my bi𝓈ℯ𝓍uality and my experiences wit girls. All of a sudden ‘queer baiting’ is the new word & people use it to the ground !”

Cardi B previously spoke about her 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual experiences with women after her and singers Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX released their song “Girls,” which featured lyrics about girl-on-girl action.

“I personally myself had experiences with other woman, shiieeett with a lot of woman! I though the song was a good song and i remember my experience,” she said.

So maybe it’s time we retire our TAFs — our Twitter Ass Fingers — and instead, listen to Cardi’s BAWs — Bi𝓈ℯ𝓍ual Ass Words — and remember that when it comes to bi𝓈ℯ𝓍uality, no one owes us their OATs — Own Ass Truths.
