LIONEL MESSI is enjoying a family holiday ahead of joining up with Inter Miami… and fans can’t stop talking about his knees.

The Argentine is set to join up with his new team later this week, having quit European football for MLS.

Messi, 36, has been enjoying some down time with wife Antonela and kids Thiago, ten, Mateo, seven and Ciro, five.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner posted a snap of himself relaxing in a pair of turquoise swimming shorts in front of a luxurious infinity pool.

But fans couldn’t help but point out the bulges above his knees.

One fittingly likened Messi’s knees to those of a goat.

While a second asked: “why yo knees look like that.”

A third commented: “Them knees are finished.”

And another quipped: “Bro. Your knee has a knee.”

A further social media user was more complimentary, writing: “That’s the secret sauce to being the best footballer in the world, knee muscles.”

According to Spanish outlet RAC1, Messi’s slightly unusual knee shape is merely down to his enormous inner quadriceps.

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star is set to be unveiled in Miami on Sunday.

According to reporter Franco Panizo, Shakira is set to perform at the event.

While rapper Bad Bunny and Colombian singer Maluma will also provide entertainment.

Messi is claimed to have penned a two-and-a-half-year contract worth around £830,000 a week.

He is set to be unveiled alongside former Barca team-mate Sergio Busquets.

Both stars turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia in order to move to Inter Miami.
