Johnny Depp reprises his iconic role as Ichabod Crane, now older, wiser, and more haunted than ever. The sequel, set two decades after the original, sees Crane drawn back into the cursed village after a new string of grisly murders—this time tied to an ancient force darker than the Headless Horseman.

The trailer unveils Helena Bonham Carter as a sinister witch veiled in black, Christina Ricci as a secretive new matriarch of the Van Tassel estate, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as a mysterious hunter with his own dark past.

Directed by Robert Eggers, known for The Witch and The Lighthouse, Sleepy Hollow II brings a fresh layer of horror to the beloved tale. The cinematography leans heavily into shadows, firelight, and eerie fog, promising a visual and psychological descent into madness.

A chilling line from the trailer reads: “You thought the legend ended… but the Hollow never sleeps.”

Sleepy Hollow II is produced by Paramount Pictures and Plan B Entertainment, with a theatrical and IMAX release scheduled for October 31, 2025, just in time for Halloween.
