One Punch Man (2026) – Live Action Trailer | Jason Statham, Tom Holland

The punch heard around the world is about to get a whole lot louder. The first official trailer for the live-action adaptation of One Punch Man has just dropped, and it’s everything fans of the iconic manga and anime could have hoped for. Jason Statham stars as Saitama, the world’s strongest hero, with Tom Holland joining the cast as his energetic and clueless sidekick, Genos, in a thrilling and hilarious story that brings the world of One Punch Man to life.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman, Kick-Ass), One Punch Man (2026) takes Saitama’s world of outrageous action, comical heroism, and wild supervillains and places it into a live-action setting. As Saitama, an unassuming hero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch, struggles with the boredom of his own immense power, he is forced to deal with a new wave of bizarre and comical enemies. Alongside his loyal, but naïve, sidekick Genos, Saitama will face an even greater threat than his own overwhelming power.

The teaser opens with Saitama (Statham) sitting at a local grocery store, looking completely unimpressed as he picks out vegetables. His voice, calm and deadpan, cuts through the mundane moment: “I’ve been doing this for three years… and I’m still bored.”

Key moments from the trailer include:

  • Saitama’s overwhelming strength: Jason Statham perfectly captures the balance between Saitama’s indifference and unstoppable power as he effortlessly defeats powerful monsters and villains with a single punch, all while trying to enjoy a normal life

  • Tom Holland as Genos, the eager and dedicated disciple of Saitama, who is constantly amazed by his master’s abilities, but is determined to prove his own worth as a hero, leading to a hilarious and heartwarming mentor-student dynamic

  • A massive monster battle where Saitama faces off against an enormous, rampaging creature, only to defeat it in a comically anticlimactic fashion with one punch, leaving the rest of the city in awe and disbelief

  • Saitama’s struggle with fame, as he tries to stay unnoticed by the public, despite his obvious power, only to be dragged into more hero work because of his association with Genos and the Hero Association

  • A showdown with new, powerful foes, including Boros, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves, played by Dave Bautista, who presents the first real challenge to Saitama’s invincible powers, leading to an epic battle that puts even Saitama’s patience to the test

  • Genos’ emotional growth as he tries to get stronger to avenge his destroyed hometown, while also learning life lessons from his master, who remains oblivious to the emotional toll his victories take on others

  • A hilarious moment where Saitama and Genos attend a Hero Association meeting, where the other heroes fail to see Saitama’s true power, leading to a comical scene of Saitama trying to get recognition without revealing his abilities

  • The final, explosive scene where Saitama faces off against The Space Emperor, a villain who threatens to destroy the Earth, and Saitama, tired of the drama, delivers a one-punch knock-out that resets the universe’s entire energy field

The film promises to bring the same combination of insane action, over-the-top humor, and emotional depth that made the One Punch Man series a fan favorite, while delivering a visually stunning adaptation. Statham’s portrayal of Saitama adds a gritty yet comedic touch, while Holland’s Genos brings an energetic and heartfelt element to the dynamic duo.

Social media is already buzzing with excitement, with hashtags like #OnePunchManLiveAction, #SaitamaStatham, and #TomHollandGenos trending across platforms worldwide.

One Punch Man (2026) is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2026, with a global IMAX release for an explosive, action-packed experience.

One man. One punch. And the fight of his life… sort of. 👊💥
