UNEMPLOYED former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has hinted at a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Lingard, 30, revealed he was “considering all options” when talking about his future on Sky Sports.

He said: “I’ve never ruled any team out, any club out, so for me it’s picking the right team. It’s got to be right for me.

“I just want to play football at the end of the day.”

“The project has got to be well-suited for me. The team’s got to be good and in the right direction. Literally, it’s just regular game time.

“I’m still hungry, I’m working hard and I’m going to be ready when called upon.”

The attacking midfielder was released by Nottingham Forest at the end of the season, having failed to nail down a spot in the first team under Steve Cooper.

On Saudi specifically, he added: “Saudi Arabia are doing big things. In the next year or so, the next couple of years, it will be one of the hot spots to go to.

“I’m not really surprised the big names are moving out there. So it’s something I’m going to consider as well.”

Premier League stars N’Golo Kante and Ruben Neves have already sealed moves to the Gulf State, with others such as Bernardo Silva also linked with a sensational transfer.

Lingard’s former team-mates Cristiano Ronaldo and Odion Ighalo are already enjoying life in the Middle East.

The latter showed off the workings of a Al-Hilal’s £173million private plane to give other players an idea of the lifestyle.

Meanwhile, talk of a move to join Wayne Rooney’s DC United in Major League Soccer was brutally crushed by the Red Devils legend.

When asked about the links, he said: “I don’t know where that has come from. From my point of view we have no interest in signing him.”
