The hunt has evolved—again. The newly released teaser trailer for Predator: Badlands offers a gritty, blood-soaked glimpse into the next terrifying chapter of the iconic sci-fi action franchise. Set in a near-future dystopia where civilization has collapsed and lawlessness reigns, Badlands reintroduces the galaxy’s most lethal hunters in the most unforgiving terrain Earth has ever known.
Opening with shots of sun-scorched deserts, abandoned war machines, and a fractured human outpost, the teaser sets an apocalyptic tone. A radio transmission crackles through static: “Something’s out there. Not human. And it’s hunting us one by one.” Moments later, a familiar clicking sound chills the air—followed by the unmistakable shimmer of active camouflage.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Prey, 2022), Predator: Badlands stars Logan Marshall-Green as a rogue ex-military tracker and Jessica Henwick as a hardened survivor leading a group of scavengers who must face off against an elite Predator—one rumored to have adapted to Earth’s harshest environment.
Unlike previous installments set in jungles or urban areas, Badlands explores a vast, lawless desert region known as the “Crimson Zone,” where climate collapse, warfare, and chaos have turned humanity feral. But when the Predator arrives, it finds that humans may be just as dangerous as any alien.
The teaser doesn’t show the Predator fully, but fans catch glimpses: thermal vision scans, a bloodstained bone blade, and the glowing red eyes in the storm. The final shot shows a lone figure standing defiantly in front of the Predator’s ship, gripping a salvaged plasma cannon.
Fans have erupted online with excitement, with hashtags like #PredatorBadlands, #TheHuntContinues, and #CrimsonZone trending shortly after the trailer dropped. Many are calling it “the most brutal and grounded Predator yet.”
Predator: Badlands is slated for release in October 2025, just in time for Halloween.
The rules are gone. The land is dead. The hunt has begun.
