A major twist in Liverpool’s summer transfer plans has been revealed, as the club is now prepared to accept an €80 million offer for Colombian winger Luis Diaz. The 28-year-old has been one of the Reds’ standout performers this season, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, his time at Anfield may soon come to an end.
“Liverpool are open to accepting a bid in the region of €80 million for Luis Diaz,” Romano confirmed. “The player is attracting serious interest, and one destination in particular is now leading the race.”
Romano revealed that Barcelona are currently pushing hardest to secure Diaz’s signature, despite strong interest from Saudi Arabian clubs including Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Nassr.
Diaz, who has scored 15 goals and contributed 8 assists this season, has been a key figure in Liverpool’s attack. Still, with new manager Arne Slot planning to revamp the squad, the Colombian winger could be one of the high-profile exits to fund incoming transfers.
Romano added: “Luis Diaz is considered an outstanding player by many clubs, but Liverpool are preparing for changes and are aware of the financial opportunity here.”
Although Diaz remains under contract until 2027, his potential move now looks increasingly likely as Liverpool looks to strengthen other areas — especially with Trent Alexander-Arnold heading to Real Madrid and uncertainty surrounding Darwin Nunez’s role.
As the summer window approaches, all eyes will be on Barcelona and whether they can finalize a deal for the dynamic winger — or if Saudi clubs step in with an even more lucrative offer.
