Top Gun 3 gets a hopeful new update from Miles Teller, who shares what Tom Cruise has told him about the sequel. Coming 36 years after the original Tony Scott film, Joseph Kosinski’s sequel hit movie theaters in 2022, featuring Cruise returning as Maverick to train a new batch of recruits, including Teller’s Rooster, Goose’s son, for a dangerous mission. The film was massive hit critically and commercially and Top Gun 3 development was subsequently confirmed, but few concrete updates have emerged on the project since.
During a recent interview with Collider, Teller speaks briefly about Top Gun 3, revealing that he has spoken to Cruise about it. Though the actor doesn’t seem to know anything about the status of the script, he does stress that there’s a great deal of enthusiasm to see the sequel get made.
