Marco Antonio Solís, conocido como “El Buki”, ha admitido que su icónica canción “Tu cárcel” podría estar inspirada en una trágica historia personal.

Desde sus inicios a los 11 años, Solís ha enfrentado desafíos personales que han influido en su música, desde sus humildes orígenes en Michoacán hasta convertirse en un artista influyente.

La relación tumultuosa con la cantante Maricela en los años 70 impactó emocionalmente a Solís, influyendo en muchas de sus composiciones.

La pérdida de su hijo adoptivo, Leonardo Martínez, en 2000, llevó a Solís a componer “Si no te hubiera sido”, reflejando su profundo dolor personal.

A pesar de los desafíos en su vida amorosa, incluyendo un matrimonio complicado con Beatriz Adriana, Solís ha mantenido una exitosa carrera musical.

Su carrera como solista comenzó en 1996, logrando un éxito inmediato con su álbum “En pleno vuelo”, vendiendo medio millón de copias en la primera semana.

En 2021, Solís reunió a su banda Los Bukis para una gira nostálgica, y en 2022 colaboró con Televisa Deportes para una canción dedicada a la selección nacional de México.
