Marian Rivera Visits the Senate in an All-White OOTD in Support of the "Eddie Garcia" Bill S-News

On February 19, 2024, the Senate voted 22-0-0 to pass the third and final reading of the “Eddie Garcia” Bill, also known as the Senate Bill (SB) 2505, which aims to protect the workers in the movie and television industry from unfair treatment and poor working conditions.

“This measure is the Senate’s recognition of the immense talent, dedication, and contribution not just of Filipino artists, but also those behind the camera who put their heart and soul to come up with material for the movie and television industry. They are the faceless ones, and often, we only see their names and positions in the end credits ,” said Senator Jinggoy Estrada .

Celebrities and industry personalities flocked to the Senate to see the bill passed. Among them was Marian Rivera in an all-white OOTD and her husband Dingdong Dantes looking dashing in a suit. The two were spotted together in a snap with Senator Risa Hontiveros, who looked just as chic in a lavender Filipiniana dress.

To add to the momentous event, Marian and Dingdong also accepted Resolution No. 909, a resolution advocated by Senator Robin Padilla. This resolution congratulates and commends the artists and production team of the movie ‘Rewind,’ wherein the showbiz couple played starring roles. The film achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time in the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival 2023.

Of all the guests in the room, Marian Rivera stood out with her glowing complexion complemented by her pristine white-on-white ‘fit. Styled by Melville Sy, the actress wore a 2-in-1 dress from Self-Portrait that featured a white tweed jacket cinched at the waist with a belt and paired with a maxi pleated skirt. Providing a subtle contrast was her Himalayan Louis Vuitton Capucines bag, and for the final touch of elegance were earrings and rings from French luxury brand Chaumet and the most intricate pumps from Ralph & Russo.
