The rapper “instantly fell in love” with the six-bedroom waterfront mansion, his realtor Kimberly Knausz said.
Rick Ross continues his real estate ventures with the recent acquisition of a lavish property. The 47-year-old rapper has expanded his portfolio by purchasing a $37 million mansion in Miami. Situated on the prestigious guard-gated Star Island, overlooking Biscayne Bay, the waterfront residence boasts a roster of esteemed neighbors.
According to his real estate agent, Kimberly Knausz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, who collaborated with Ross’s sister Tawanda Roberts, a real estate agent with Florida Realty of Miami, the new property spans a 40,000-square-foot lot and features 100 feet of waterfront.
The expansive 12,374 sq. ft. residence boasts six bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, and a bay-facing primary suite featuring dual walk-in closets and bathrooms. Outside, the property offers luxurious amenities such as a heated pool, a summer kitchen, a 40-foot dock, and direct access to both the bay and ocean.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Ross’s real estate agent, Kimberly Knausz, shared that the rapper was immediately captivated by the grand entry of the home, with its long driveway leading up to the mansion exuding an aura of opulence. Knausz also highlighted the extraordinary architecture of the property, which transcends the typical modern home, and mentioned Ross’s plans to customize it to reflect his unique style.
Ross described the big-ticket purchase as “a major piece to the puzzle” in building his real estate portfolio.
In April, Ross unveiled his latest real estate acquisition in Texas, posting a snapshot on Instagram showcasing him sporting a cowboy hat and western boots. “I invite the great state of Texas to take a shot of @deaconwhisky to celebrate my newest home in the Lone Star State,” he wrote, signing the post, “Rodeo Rick.”
The same month, the “Hustlin’” singer reportedly scooped up an Atlanta-area estate. And in March 2021, he paid cash for former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire’s Florida home in Southwest Ranches, west of Fort Lauderdale. “It’s a sprawling estate in a very secluded area,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “From the moment I stepped inside, I appreciated the high ceilings and rich detail.”
