Fans can look forward to seeing her perform at the 2023 VMAs, where she has been nominated for four awards, including Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration for her song TQG with Karol G. The ceremony will be held live at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on September 12. In a press release, Paramount’s President of Music, Bruce Gilmer, praised Shakira for her global influence, musical talent, and efforts in paving the way for women worldwide. With hit songs and music videos dating back to the 1990s, such as Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), Chantajem, La Bicicleta, La La La (Brazil 2014), and Pero Fiel, all of which have over a billion views on YouTube, Shakira has been entertaining audiences for decades. She is also set to become the first South American artist to receive the Video Vanguard Award, alongside music legends like David Bowie, Madonna, and Beyoncé.

Artist Shakira, known for her popular song “Hips Don’t Lie”, was seen twisting and bending her body in different poses on the floor.

Following that, she grabbed a glistening guitar and made her way towards the mic.
