Ariana Grande has been seen for the first time since her shock split from her husband Dalton Gomez.

The singer, who first sparked speculation her marriage was in trouble when she was seen without her wedding ring at Wimbledon on Sunday, enjoyed a spot of retail therapy at Loewe in London’s Bond Street with her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.

Still without her wedding ring, Ariana sported a cosy pale pink cardigan and oversized jeans as she left the luxury boutique with an iced coffee in hand.

The star, whose work on the Wicked movie has stalled due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, covered her dyed blonde tresses with a Wimbledon cap.

Ariana and real estate mogul Dalton went public with their relationship back in 2020, and said ‘I do’ the following year in May 2021 during an intimate ceremony at Grande’s home in Montecito.

The former Nickelodeon star has been living in the UK since the beginning of the year after landing the role of Glinda in Wicked.

It’s thought that she and Dalton actually split back in January, with sources since claiming he’s been back on the dating scene for ‘months.’

TMZ also reported that the pair’s relationship didn’t work in a ‘post-Covid world’ due to each of their lives being ‘vastly different.’

Sources close to the now exes informed the outlet that when Ariana and Dalton were first romantically linked in January 2020, the two had been ‘everything to each other.’ But when restrictions for Covid began to dissipate, so did their relationship.

The real estate broker reportedly was ‘taken aback’ by Ariana’s fame and that he wasn’t used to dealing, ‘with her schedule, the paparazzi and the various opportunities that took her out of L.A.’

The insiders explained to TMZ that the pair’s ‘differences started to make the marriage unravel’ and when Grande whisked herself away to film Wicked in the U.K. late last year in December, the pair separated the following month.

The singer and actress has been cast as Glinda in the adaptation of the hit musical, and the film is slated to release in two parts on December 25, 2024 and December 25, 2025.

In May, the two reportedly attempted to patch up their marriage, which only ‘lasted two weeks before they both threw in the towel.’

Ariana and Dalton are now headed for divorce, a source told DailyMail.com, as it emerged Ariana has deleted all of the romantic photos of her May 2021 wedding from Instagram.

‘Ariana and Dalton have nothing but respect for one another. They’re still friends and want to remain that way moving forward,’ the insider explained.

‘There was no cheating, no resentment between them, the marriage just simply didn’t work out. These things happen,’ the source close to the couple expressed.

A spokesperson for Ariana confirmed the news to DailyMail.com.

Ariana was seen ring-less at Wimbledon over the weekend; she has not been seen wearing her ring for some time now.

Their insider claimed that the couple tried to reconcile two months ago but it ‘failed.’

It was also claimed Gomez had flown to London in January in a last ditch effort to save the pair’s marriage – visiting his wife on the set of Wicked but it ‘didn’t work out’, reported Page Six. The pair were seen having crepes together in the UK capital.

Ariana has been busy filming the musical Wicked across the UK since December.

The Us Weekly insider ‘were having issues before she left for Wicked filming [in London] that they couldn’t resolve, and the distance did not help. They haven’t been speaking and are speaking, and a divorce is likely.’

‘But unfortunately, they hit a rough patch a few months ago and haven’t been able to recover.’

Page Six also reported their ‘split,’ with their source revealing: ‘They came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.’

He tried to ‘save’ their marriage with a trip to visit her on the set of Wicked but the source said ‘it didn’t work out.’

‘They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process and their friends and families have been trying to protect them,’ the source said.
