LEWIS HAMILTON has tragically admitted beloved dog Roscoe “may not wake up from this” after slipping into a coma.
The seven-time F1 world champion’s pooch was diagnosed with pneumonia in April and has since been treated with medication.
But Hamilton, 40, has now shared a new worrying update revealing Roscoe had suffered a second bout of pneumonia and his heart stopped while vets rushed to treat him.
Hamilton said: “Please keep Roscoe in your thoughts. I want to keep you all updated.
“Roscoe caught pneumonia again and was struggling to breathe.
“He was admitted into hospital and sedated to calm him while they did checks on him and during the process his heart stopped.
“They managed to get a heartbeat back and now he’s in a coma.”
Hamilton worrying added: “We don’t know whether he will wake from this.
“Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up.
“I’m by his side and want to thank you all for your prayers and support.”
The heartbreaking updates comes just a day after Hamilton urged fans to keep Roscoe in their prayers after a “scary few hours”.
Sharing a picture of Roscoe at a medical facility, Hamilton posted: “It’s been a scary few hours, everyone please keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers.”
The beloved dog is looked after by animal lover and trainer Kirstin McMillan while his celebrity owner travels the world as an F1 driver.
Roscoe has been a constant companion for the seven-time world champion.
And he has even rocked up at the tracks with his owner throughout the years.
Roscoe even appeared in F1: The Movie and was named in the credits alongside it’s leading stars like Brad Pitt.
The pooch also has more than 1.3million followers on Instagram.
Hamilton has yet to score a podium for Ferrari ever since switching to the constructor from Mercedes earlier this year.
And he will now miss a Formula One test event today.
