Let’s talk Rocco!
The Britch is back on General Hospital. That would be Britt Westbourne. She’s back – from the dead (as so many others in Port Charles are). She’s already reconnected with Jason, Nina, and her very angry mother. (Also, an unthrilled Liz and Carly.) But the person Britt really wanted to know more about was Rocco. We’ve been waiting for this for almost a decade!
Rocco Has Two Mommies
Lulu and Dante (Dominic Zapronga) froze some embryos. Britt (Kelly Thiebaud, who had a bittersweet goodbye) stole one, implanted it in herself (she is a gynecologist, which makes her s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 set at least understandable), and passed the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 off as hers and Patrick’s (Jason Thompson, now Billy on The Young and the Restless).
She called him Ben and raised him for almost a year (the tot was kidnapped by Faison [Anders Hove] when he thought Bocco/Ren was his biological grandson). But then the truth came out, and Britt handed Lulu and Dante’s 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 over (they figured it out because of a matching latex allergy), only making a small face when they renamed him Rocco.
Port Charles Truth
Rocco (Finn Carr) found out about his origins from Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), as part of her feud with his mom. Lulu (now Alexa Havins) was furious. She feels the same now that Britt is back. And she has every right to be. But it also makes sense that Britt would still be interested in the boy she carried and gave 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to.
She asked about him back when Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) were talking about taking Rocco to see Santa. Now that he’s old enough to make his own decisions—no matter what Lulu thinks or how bad he’s proven to be at it—it makes sense that Britt would want to reconnect. This is an emotional, character-driven story deeply rooted in GH’s history. It’s exactly what’s so badly needed right now! Go get ’em, Britt!
