The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, September 18, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will rage over backstabber Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) before Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) ditches his wildcard partner.
At Crimson Lights, Cane will charm Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) by remembering her usual beverage order and reminiscing about better days with the twins.
After Lily once again quizzes Cane about his reasons for coming back to Genoa City, she’ll warn that keeping another secret could cost Cane his family forever.
Cane will try to convince Lily of their mutual love and will wonder if a future is still possible, but she’ll insist it’s not happening.
Lily will argue that Cane needs to focus on his kids or go back to being Aristotle Dumas since those are the only options.
At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will recruit Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as backup since he’ll plan on trying to talk some sense into Billy with her help.
After Jack says Billy’s about to go off the rails again, he’ll mention the AI software that Cane’s promised.
Based on Victoria’s reaction, he’ll get the feeling that she already knows about that software, but she’ll act like she’s just concerned since AI can be a scary thing.
Once Jack and Victoria make their way to Billy’s place, he’ll get irritated and ask if this is an intervention.
When Billy realizes Sally blabbed about the AI software news, he’ll fume over her selling him out.
Jack will defend Sally since she just cares about Billy and wanted to save him from himself, but Billy will view her as a backstabber instead.
However, Jack will point out that Billy lied to Sally about him yanking Abbott Communications’ funding away.
It was actually Billy who pushed Jack to take back his money.
Victoria will see a familiar look in Billy’s eyes and know he’s all in on gambling again.
The stakes will be higher than ever as far as Victoria’s concerned, so she’ll wonder if Billy wants their kids to come visit him in prison!
Billy will grow increasingly outraged over Jack and Victoria trying to save someone who doesn’t need to be saved.
After Cane calls about a change of plans, he’ll reveal that Billy is the problem.
Billy will scramble to keep this alliance intact, but Cane will insist there are too many variables and Billy is too much of a wildcard to work with.
In the end, Cane will declare that the deal is off.
Next on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will meet Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) at the park overlook and assure her that he didn’t say anything to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) about this.
Mariah will ask how Tessa and Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) are doing before acknowledging that Daniel may be the best friend Tessa has.
That’s why Mariah will want Daniel to look after Tessa and watch over Aria, too.
Daniel will wonder if Mariah’s going somewhere and will hope she’s not planning on doing anything stupid.
Mariah will explain that she’s going away for a while to get help and will assure Daniel that Tessa knows.
Daniel will think it’s good that Mariah’s getting the help she needs, but he’ll still feel like she should be honest with Tessa about whatever happened.
There’ll also be some talk about Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) since Daniel will think Cassie would forgive Mariah’s mistakes.
Mariah will argue that Cassie would never do the things she’s done and will continue to wallow in self-loathing.
After Daniel pushes Mariah to make this time away count since Tessa and Aria need her, she’ll give him a grateful hug before leaving.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel’s feelings for Tessa will grow even stronger in the coming episodes, so stay tuned for updates on what that’ll mean for their bond.
