Carlos Sainz has joined the chorus of voices hailing Max Verstappen’s dominance in Formula 1, calling the Dutch driver “one of the best ever in history — if not the best already.”
In a recent interview, the Ferrari driver didn’t hold back his admiration for Verstappen’s performances in recent seasons, highlighting not only his raw speed but also his consistency, mental strength, and control under pressure.
“He’s dominating the sport in a way we haven’t seen in a long time,” Sainz said. “People often talk about the car, but you need a special kind of driver to maximize it like Max does.”
Verstappen, a three-time world champion, is currently leading the 2025 season with a commanding points gap. His relentless pace, minimal mistakes, and tactical brilliance have sparked debates among fans and experts alike about his place among F1’s all-time greats.
With records tumbling and rivals watching from a distance, it seems even his closest competitors are ready to crown him — or at least admit he’s well on his way.
