Top 15 Weapons of Pakistan

In a striking display of military might, Pakistan has unveiled its top 15 weapons, solidifying its position as a formidable player on the global stage. As the seventh largest army in the world and ranked 12th on the global firepower index, the nation is not only a middle power but also one of the nine countries with nuclear capabilities. This announcement comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to national security and defense modernization.

Leading the arsenal is the Alcalid tank, a product of collaboration with China, boasting over 400 units equipped with advanced fire control systems and night-fighting capabilities. Following closely is the Haidider tank, unveiled in 2023, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s indigenization efforts with plans for 679 units, although its effectiveness remains a topic of debate. The T80 main battle tank, known for its performance and protection, further strengthens the ground forces.

Artillery capabilities are bolstered by the M109 A5 self-propelled howitzer, capable of striking targets at ranges of up to 40 kilometers, and the HQ7 and HQ9 missile systems, which provide robust air defense against aerial threats. The A100 multiple launch rocket system enhances strike capabilities, while the WingLung 2 drone offers advanced reconnaissance and precision strike options.

In the air, the JF17 Thunder fighter jet and the J10 Vigorous Dragon represent Pakistan’s commitment to modern aerial combat, with both aircraft capable of engaging in multi-role missions. The Shaheen 3 ballistic missile, with a range of 2,750 kilometers, poses a direct challenge to regional adversaries, particularly India.

Naval power is represented by the Augusta 90B submarines and the Tugril class frigates, both designed for multi-role operations, enhancing Pakistan’s maritime security. As tensions rise in the region, Pakistan’s military advancements signal a decisive commitment to maintaining its defense posture. The world watches closely as this South Asian power continues to fortify its military capabilities, leaving no room for complacency in an increasingly volatile landscape.
