Set in modern-day New York, the film follows a young couple who inherits a forgotten deed tied to the original Amityville house. But what seems like an old legal form quickly reveals itself to be a “blood lease”—a cursed document that binds the occupants to the spirits of the house, and worse: demands a sacrifice.
The teaser offers a slow-burn taste of the horror to come—flashes of ghostly 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, walls dripping with red ooze, a figure whispering in Latin behind the mirror, and a chilling tagline: “You don’t own the house. It owns you.”
Starring Florence Pugh, Justice Smith, and Tony Todd as the mysterious priest with knowledge of the blood lease’s origin, the film blends haunted house terror with religious and occult themes.
Amityville: The Blood Lease is produced by Blumhouse and Lionsgate, with practical effects, classic jump scares, and a slow descent into madness promised by the filmmakers.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 18, 2026, just in time to dominate Halloween season.
