Van Helsing 3 (2025) – First Trailer | Hugh Jackman and Norman Reedus Return to Hunt the Deadliest Evil Yet

Universal Pictures has dropped the official trailer for Van Helsing 3 (2025), resurrecting the legendary vampire hunter for one final crusade — and this time, he’s not alone. Hugh Jackman returns in his iconic role as Gabriel Van Helsing, joined by Norman Reedus as a grizzled, gun-slinging relics tracker named Elias Crowe.

The two-minute trailer promises an epic, blood-soaked return to the gothic roots of the franchise, featuring werewolves, banshees, and a terrifying new vampire overlord known only as “The Crimson Father.”

Set thirteen years after the events of Van Helsing: The Reckoning (2012), the world has grown darker and more divided. Supernatural forces have seized control of Eastern Europe, and the Vatican has reactivated the long-retired Van Helsing for a final, desperate mission — to stop the rise of an ancient blood cult that threatens to open the “Veil of Thorns,” a cursed realm between life and death.

The trailer opens with Jackman stepping through a shattered cathedral, gripping silver daggers, as Reedus’s voice echoes: “You hunt monsters long enough, you start becoming one.”

The footage showcases high-octane monster battles in snow-covered forests, underground crypts filled with cursed tombs, and a climactic rooftop duel with the Crimson Father beneath a blood moon. There are also flashes of medieval flashbacks and cryptic symbols hinting at Van Helsing’s own dark origins.

Directed by Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead), this third installment blends intense action with gritty horror. Álvarez promises a return to practical effects, brutal hand-to-hand combat, and emotionally complex characters. Jackman, donning a darker, more battle-worn version of his iconic trench coat, portrays Van Helsing as a man haunted by his past and forced to confront his own monstrous nature.

Norman Reedus’s Elias Crowe brings gritty charm and explosive firepower, serving as both ally and foil to Van Helsing. Also appearing are Eva Green as a mysterious seer, and Cillian Murphy in a villainous role that fans speculate may be tied to Dracula himself.

Van Helsing 3 hits theaters globally on October 17, 2025, just in time for Halloween, and is already generating major buzz as the definitive conclusion to Universal’s monster-hunting saga.
