Julio Sanchez III, a promising young boxer from Pleasantville, New Jersey, is set to make his professional debut, bringing the weight of local pride onto the ring. Born into a boxing family, Sanchez has been immersed in the sport since 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood, training alongside his father, who was an active fighter. He recalls, “I’ve been around boxing pretty much my whole life,” a testament to the tradition that runs deep in his family.

As he prepares for his first fight, Sanchez expresses immense pride in representing South Jersey. “Being able to put on for the people and come from where I come from means a lot to me,” he states. Having secured one amateur fight under his belt, he is eager to take the next step in his boxing career.

In the lead-up to his debut, Sanchez has been honing his s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s with various sparring partners, including professionals like Anthony “Juice” Young. However, he emphasizes that his focus remains on his own preparation rather than studying his opponent, Douglas Leon Digs from Washington, D.C. “I feel like I’m ready either way,” he asserts, showcasing his confidence.

Sanchez, who competes in the 140-pound weight class, is well aware of the mental challenges that come with boxing, particularly weight management. “You gotta be 100% locked in,” he explains, emphasizing the discipline required for success. Fighting in front of a home crowd at the Tropicana, where he previously competed as an amateur, adds to the excitement.

As he gears up for his debut, Sanchez remains humble and thankful for the support he’s received. Although tickets for the event are no longer available through him, fans can still pay at the door. With the local community rallying behind him, Sanchez is determined to make a strong impression in the ring and carry on his family’s legacy in boxing.
