Jamila Massey, who portrayed Jamila Ranjit Singh, was 43 during the series and is now 89. The legacy of Mr. Short, played by George A. Cooper, continues to resonate despite his passing on November 16, 2018, at 93.

Other notable cast members include Albert Moses, who portrayed Ranjit Singh and passed away on September 15, 2017, at 79, and Barry Evans, who played Mr. Brown and died on February 9, 1997, at 53. The show also featured Anna Bergman and Robert Lee, both of whom have since passed away, leaving behind a rich legacy of laughter and cultural commentary.
