He’s expecting his first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 with his long-time partner, Kelly Piquet. Max and Kelly have been together for a number of years (reports state they started dating in 2020) and she first came into the spotlight three years ago, when she was seen passionately congratulating Max at his first Formula 1 World Title in December 2021.
Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet are pregnant!
The couple took to Instagram to share the exciting news on Friday morning ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, posting a black and white photo of Kelly’s belly with Max’s hand on it.
“Mini Verstappen-Piquet on the way ❤️ We couldn’t be happier with our little miracle 💫,” they wrote in the caption.
This is Max’s first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥. Kelly has a daughter, named Penelope, with ex-boyfriend and F1 racer Daniil Kyvat.
Who is Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen’s girlfriend?
Born to Brazilian Formula One World Champion driver Nelson Piquet and former Dutch model Sylvia Tamsma, Kelly is practically F1 royalty, having grown up around the sport. She has two siblings from her parent’s marriage – older brother Nelson Angelo Piquet, a former Formula E and Formula One driver, and younger sister Julia – and multiple half-siblings from her father’s other marriages and relationships.
The thirty-five-year-old model and columnist – who is a German national – grew up in Europe and Brazil, before attending boarding school in the United Kingdom. She studied International Relations at Marymount Manhattan College, a private college located in New York City’s prestigious Upper East Side neighbourhood.
When are Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet due?
Most women do not publically announce their pregnancies until they’re in their second trimester. Therefore, it’s likely Kelly is at least three months along, meaning the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 could be 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 any time between April 2025 and June 2025 – however, without official confirmation the precise due date is anyone’s guess.
