While Bryson DeChambeau Made Tiger Woods Forget Bad Blood, Fellow LIV Golfer Has Polar Opposite Experience

We all remember how Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau’s friendship went up in flames when DeChambeau joined LIV in 2022. The two had been buddies, sharing practice rounds and Ryder Cup moments, but it seemed like that was all ancient history. Or so we thought. Fast forward to the British Open, where Woods surprised everyone by approaching DeChambeau on the range to congratulate him on his U.S. Open win. It was a moment that broke a two-year silence between the two, and DeChambeau was clearly touched by the gesture.

“I’m sure that winning two U.S. Opens definitely helped,” DeChambeau added with a laugh. It’s clear that DeChambeau still has a lot of respect for Woods, and it’s nice to see that even in the cutthroat world of professional golf, old friendships can still be rekindled. The moment was a reminder that even the biggest stars in golf are still human beings who value relationships and camaraderie.

In the latest video with Mark Bouris for his Youtube channel, golfer Cameron Smith opened up about his personal life and golfing experiences on Mark Bouris’s YouTube channel. He jokingly admitted to having a terrible memory, saying “I’ve got the worst memory… of any person in the world.” Smith also talked about his interactions with Tiger Woods, saying “No, I haven’t played with him… I’ve met him, yeah… but we haven’t met him in a social sense, so no.”

Smith’s humility and down-to-earth personality shone through as he talked about not playing golf with big names like Michael Jordan. “Because all the top golfers end up somehow playing with Michael Jordan… or you know, I don’t know, other people like Trump,” he said with a laugh. Despite being a major winner, Smith seems to be unfazed by the trappings of fame and is content to focus on his game. Did you know that Woods almost cried at the 150th Open Championship and Smith had something to with it?

Tiger Woods “had a few tears” after a bad performance at the 2022 Open Championship

Tiger Woods was overcome with emotion as he received a standing ovation from the crowd at the Old Course in St Andrews during the 2022 Open Championship. The 46-year-old, who has won two of his three Claret Jugs at the revered venue, acknowledged that it “feels like my last time” playing the Old Course in an Open Championship. Woods’ emotional farewell was a poignant moment in an otherwise disappointing tournament for the 15-time major winner, who finished with a three-over-par 75 for a nine-over total.

Despite his struggles, Woods was gracious in defeat, praising the crowd for their support. “I had a few tears; it’s very emotional for me,” he said. Meanwhile, Cameron Smith was thriving on the course, carding an eight-under-par 64 to take the lead at 13 under. The Australian world number six is two shots clear of American Cameron Young, with Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland lurking at 10 under. As Woods bid farewell to the Old Course, Smith was just getting started. The 28-year-old Australian is chasing his first major title, and his impressive performance so far has put him in pole position.

With the crowd still buzzing from Woods’ emotional farewell, Smith will look to build on his momentum and make the most of his opportunity to claim the Claret Jug and he did! Yes, Smith won the in all his glory. Do you think this is the reason why he never had a meaningful interaction with the GOAT? Let us know in the comment section below!
