Army Lieutenant Colonel Robert Risdon, stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, demonstrated kindness at a Taco Bell in Mobile, Alabama, by offering to buy dinner for two young boys selling homemade desserts.
The boys, aged 9 and 13, were attempting to raise money for their local church when they caught Risdon’s attention.
Risdon, noticing the boys looked cold and wet, asked if they had eaten dinner yet and invited them to order whatever they wanted.
The act of generosity was recorded by a fellow diner, Jason Gibson, who shared the footage on social media, prompting widespread admiration for Risdon’s actions.
Risdon attributed his motivation to help to the Ranger Creed, emphasizing his duty to assist others, referring to the boys as his comrades.
The incident has inspired many, highlighting the honorable nature of military personnel and the impact of small acts of kindness in the community.
