General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) leaves Port Charles with Holly Sutton, (Emma Samms) the district attorney’s office will be vacant. Even with an assistant district attorney available to step up, there still has to be a DA-could Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and her dad, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) find themselves competing?
General Hospital Spoilers – Someone Has To Be The Acting District Attorney
Even though assistant district attorneys fill in to prosecute cases, they are under the oversight of district attorneys, so someone has to be the acting DA in Robert’s absence.
It is much the same as when the deputy mayor takes over temporarily for the mayor, but Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) still under Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) oversight.
Jordan’s decisions as Deputy Mayor are subject to Laura’s approval, and the acting district attorney’s decisions are subject to the district attorney’s long distance approval with Robert away.
But Robert is expected to be away with Holly overseas for an extended period of time; even though he didn’t say he’s retired, it could have been done offscreen. So, the office of head district attorney could be up for grabs!
GH Spoilers – Like Her Father, Molly Is Very Ambitious
Much like her father, Molly is very ambitious-but even though she’s been assistant district attorney for a couple of years, she hasn’t stepped into a district attorney’s shoes.
However, her father Ric has been district attorney in Port Charles several times before he moved away this last time, and so he has the experience.
But with both Ric and Molly being extremely ambitious and go-getters, which is the main trait they share, might they find themselves competing for the same job?
It’s entirely possible that they might run against each other as competition for the office-and that could be very interesting! Molly hasn’t been known for sneaky tricks like her dad has, but there’s always the first time, she surely has that capability in her.
General Hospital Spoilers – May The Best Lansing Win?
It would be an interesting race indeed to see who wins the title of Robert’s replacement, at least for the rest of his term-since district attorneys are elected.
More than likely Molly as the assistant district attorney may step in for Robert but then once his term is over, it’s up for grabs! With so many grievous situations having happened in Molly’s personal life, like her mother Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) she may throw herself into work.
But once it’s time to run for office of District Attorney, her ambition may come to the forefront. And that means she and her father may be running against each other for the same job!
