General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) proposal of marriage has sent fans into a tizzy.
Many of them are already furious and heartbroken by the news that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has died — marking her end to a 21-year run on the longtime hit sudser.
After months of petitions, campaigning, and protests in an effort to keep Monaco on board, fans have been left to put the pieces of this puzzle together in silence — all on their own.
Some of them are starting to wonder whether Monaco’s silence equates to a hidden truth that she’s not leaving the soap permanently after all. But if she’s slated to return, where is she headed now, and how will a ring on her finger change anything for those who are sticking around?
General Hospital Spoilers — “Sam, Will You Marry Me?”
Dante’s proposal cut like a knife for the fans who already knew Sam was certain to be dead soon. Losing her is going to crush him in a whole new way, and no one is really convinced that Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins) waking up will magically make it all better.
In fact, some of Sam’s last words to Dante were making sure he knew it was okay with her if he still loved Lulu.
In the aftermath of her death and Lulu coming out of a four-year-long coma, those words are going to hit home a lot harder. Some fans are holding out hope that Sam will somehow return, but does it make any sense?
GH Spoilers – Suggest GH Pushes Pause
Some fans were hoping that while it would’ve been a less than lackluster storyline, Sam could have fallen into a coma as well — leaving it on the table for her to come back at a later date. It doesn’t look like that’s an option at this point.
Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), Elizabeth Balwdin (Rebecca Nurse), and Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) all witnessed her death while trying to revive her for over a half an hour. Sam is dead. Does that mean she can’t come back to life?
General Hospital Spoilers — Will Sam McCall Return?
In the world of Port Charles, nothing is impossible. We’ve seen people come back from far more horrific deaths in the past. Likewise, we know that even when others witness someone’s death, it can be explained away.
But the more questionable part of this is why there would be any reason to fake Sam’s death — whether on her own accord or someone else’s. If Lucas is behind it and somehow turns sinister like their father — Julian Jerome (William deVry), it would be a stretch.
No one was after Sam. She had no real enemies. She’s just gone, and it doesn’t look like the door is open for a return. The fans are left questioning what happened between her and the GH head honchos that they made it so darn final. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
