NewJeans Reject New ADOR CEO And Back Min Hee Jin In Recent Award Speech

NewJeans are not staying quiet about their feelings.

At the 2024 The Fact Music AwardsNewJeans made their feelings about the recent shocking leadership changes at ADOR clear. The girls chose their acceptance speech to send a powerful message.

At the ceremony tonight NewJeans won four well-earned awards: Artist of the Year (Bonsang), World Best Performer, Worldwide ICON, and the MUSINSA Popularity Award.

It was during the acceptance speeches that members Danielle and Hyein decided to disclose their candid thoughts on who they consider to be their and the label’s CEO.

During their acceptance speech, Danielle spoke directly to Min and thanked her for always “protecting” the group. What gained the most attention however, was the star’s use of the word CEO.

And lastly, to the one who always treasures and protects us Min Hee Jin CEO, we really love you and thank you! — Danielle.

Later in the night, Hyein emphasized their feelings on the CEO even more, repeatedly referring to Min as their CEO and even stressing the use of the title.

I want to say this again because it may be the last time… but CEO… OUR CEO… We really really thank you. We love you CEO, thank you! — Hyein.

Their words quickly resonated with fans online, many of whom share the same concerns about the leadership change.

Although Min Hee Jin remains involved with NewJeans as a creative director, overseeing their artistic direction, her departure from the CEO role has caused visible unrest among the group members. Soon after Min’s removal, Danielle shared her emotional state with fans through a private messaging platform, revealing that she’s been struggling due to the change.

Hanni also made a more subtle statement on social media, sparking heated debates among netizens.

As tensions between the group, ADOR, and its parent company, HYBE, seem to be brewing, it remains unclear what the long-term impact of this shift in leadership will be. One thing is certain — NewJeans are not staying quiet about their feelings.
