The Reds continued their unbeaten start to the season as they came back from 1-0 down to beat Wolves 3-1 at Molineux on Saturday, and now the attention turns to the Europa League as Liverpool prepares to travel to Austria to take on LASK on Thursday.
The competition will provide Klopp with the opportunity to rotate his squad, but it will offer another route back to the Champions League for next season, giving the Liverpool boss a tough balancing act.

Harvey Elliott may have hinted at Mohamed Salah plan
Like any other Liverpool fan, Harvey Elliott doesn’t want to see Mohamed Salah leave Anfield. If the time comes though, the former Fulham youngster is making sure he soaks up as much knowledge as he can from the Egyptian.
“Touch wood he doesn’t ever leave but if he does go then I want to be that person to learn from him and apply it in my game,” Elliott said after Saturday’s win over Wolves (via the ECHO). “Hopefully, as I say, he doesn’t leave and he’s here for the rest of his career. I will do my best [to keep him] but to be just learning from him and in the same team as him, is just a dream come true as well as everyone else in the team.”
That might lead some to believe that Elliott wants to replace Salah in the right-wing role, but with Jürgen Klopp setting up his midfield to be more of a creative hub than previously, it could point to a new direction.
Liverpool could repeat game-changing Luis Díaz move
Back in January 2022, Liverpool made the unexpected move for Luis Díaz, and it proved to be an inspired decision. Not only did it vastly improve the Reds’ attacking output for the remainder of the season, but the big-money transfer helped to lift the squad and re-energize the season.
There’s still a few months to go before this season’s January window, but already Liverpool could have eyes on a similarly game-changing signing.
Piero Hincapié made his return from suspension for Bayer Leverkusen against Bayern Munich on Friday, and with Liverpool in need of at least one new central defender, he could provide the same sort of boost Díaz offered.
