The Young and the Restless supercouples aren’t restricted to just what you see on-screen. Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby on the top-rated serial, is celebrating a special moment with her real-life husband, Justin Gaston.
The Young and the Restless, it’s a love story
“It was 2010 when we first met,” Ordway shared in an Instagram post about and to Gaston. “I called my mom and told her, ‘I’m in love.’ Admittedly, I was enamored by your looks and your smell. What I didn’t know then was that you were even more handsome on the inside.
“The more time we spent together, the more I discovered how incredibly funny you are, how deeply you love Jesus and your family, and how talented you are,” Ordway continued. “With every moment, I fell more and more in love.”
Gaston stepped in to play the ill-fated Chance when Abby and Chance tied the knot in 2020. While Abby and Chance’s marriage ended in divorce, the Gastons are clearly going the distance!
“Today, 15 years later, I can honestly say I’ve never loved you more,” the actress continued. “Thank you for being the most amazing dad to our girls, a faithful and loving husband, and the funniest (and most gorgeous) guy I know.
“Saying ‘I do’ was the best decision of my life,” Ordway concludes. “I love living and laughing through this life with you—you’re my very best friend.”
Gaston responded to his wife’s eloquent post with loving emojis and three simple words: “I love you.”

In addition to briefly playing Chance on The Young and the Restless, Gaston is known for his run as Ben Weston on DAYS. His other acting roles include playing Michael in Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries, Noah in God’s Country Song, and Aiden in Santa Boot Camp.
