Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his role as John Constantine, the supernatural exorcist and demonologist, in Constantine 2. In the original, Constantine is dying but fights to save his soul by keeping demons from breaching Earth.
While the sequel is in development, it’s not fully guaranteed yet, as Constantine 2 is an Elseworlds project—separate from the DCU. According to James Gunn, Elseworlds films face a higher bar for approval, meaning the script must be exceptional. Although the script is still in progress, there’s hope that Reeves will get his chance to return as Constantine.
