Phil Mickelson’s days of wearing a visor may be behind him, judging by this picture of Lefty at LIV Golf’s Team Championship over the weekend.
Has Phil Mickelson‘s haircut gone wrong or are his locks thinning so much that this is simply how it looks now?
That was the question among golf fans on X after a picture of Lefty at the conclusion of LIV’s Team Championship in Dallas over the weekend went viral.
It was a rough time for Mickelson and his HyFlyers teammates Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale and Andy Ogletree.
They were knocked out in the semifinals. Mickelson and Steele also got their backsides handed to them by Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent.
As is standard, Mickelson took his cap off to shake hands with his fellow competitors at the end of the match.
One eagle-eyed viewer was shocked at what they saw and shared a snap of Mickelson’s latest do.

Golf Twitter™ promptly tore into the six-time major champion.
Mickelson was told he is rapidly approaching the look of a James Bond villain and should consider a new barber.
Although the image is a stark reminder that his playing days are numbered.
Earlier in the season, he revealed he had started planning for life beyond LIV and golf.
“I see glimpses and my teammates see glimpses of me being where I expect to be able to compete at this level,” he previously said.
“But I’m also realistic with myself, and if I’m not [able to compete anymore] able to I’ll step aside and let somebody come on in and take the HyFlyers to new levels,” he previously said.
“I’m in every major on the regular tour next year, and I’ll be in three of the four majors for the next six, seven years.
“I would love to compete and give myself a chance to win in those, and I also want to build this [LIV] out and create a culture that is sustainable and that people strive to be a part of.
“How I do that, whether it’s internally as a player and so forth, or whether it’s strictly from the outside, I’m going to be intricately involved with the HyFlyers going forward probably the rest of my life, and then my playing career I’ll be realistic where I’m at, too.”
